• Ensure that the recruiter knows
what you are looking for - provide a detailed job spec and any
additional information that may be useful
• Take time to build a rapport
with your recruiter. They will then start to understand exactly
what you look for when you are recruiting - in terms of personality
and attitude as well as the skill sets
• Provide prompt feedback to your
recruiter after they have submitted CV's or arranged interviews.
For a recruiter to work hard on your behalf and to hear nothing
back is frustrating and may lead to an eventual (and inevitable)
loss of interest in your roles.
• Be honest with your recruiter.
Let them know what you thought of the CV or the candidate you
interviewed. Feedback (both positive and negative) is critical
and must be forthcoming in order to get things right.
• Be realistic in your expectations.
